Volarkite

The Volarkite is a unique craftable tool that is currently unimplemented. It will be used to 'glide' around the dimension.

Functions

When held and equipped with a right-click, the Volarkite will be put on the player's back. From then on, jumping will put them into glide mode, which will cause them to glide in the direction held (they can still turn with left and right keys). The player will slowly descend while using the kite, which prevents them from taking fall damage, useful for descending from large trees or into gaping caves. They can also accelerate their glide speed and decline by holding forward, and even more by holding shift. The kite can be unequipped by simply right-clicking or switching to a different item in the hotbar.

Note that durability on the Volarkite will drain relatively rapidly as it is being used, and the kite will break after about a minute's worth of constant gliding.
