Sickle is a special tool that is used to harvest Plant Items from the various plants and coral of the Betweenlands. When using this tool instead of something else to break the plant, the plant will drop the corresponding plant item, which can then be used in the Herblore process.
The Sickle affects the following plants and coral when used to mine them: Algae, Arrow Arum, Bladderwort (both stalk and flower), Blue Eyed Grass, Blue Iris, Bog Bean, Boneset, Bottle Brush Grass, Broomsedge, Buttonbush, Cardinal Flower, Cattail, Cave Grass, Cave Moss, Copper Iris, Dead Weedwood Bush, Deep Water Coral, Double Swamp Tallgrass, Golden Club, Hanger, Lichen, Marsh Hibiscus, Marsh Mallow, Marsh Marigolds, Milkweed, Mire Coral, Moss, Nettle, Phragmites, Pickerel Weed, Pitcher Plant, Poison Ivy, Shoots, Sludgecreep, Soft Rush, Sundew, Swamp Tallgrass, Tall Cattail, Thorns, Water Weeds, Weedwood Bush, Venus Fly Trap, and Volarpad.
A Sickle will be made in a "Good as new!" state of corrosion, with 0/255 corrosion points. Simply being in your inventory will cause it to start becoming corroded; using the sickle as well as being in water will increase the sickle's rate of corrosion. Corrosion decreases the chance for a plant item to be obtained from mining a plant.
A corroded sickle can be cleaned in the Purifier, resetting its corrosion value back to 0. It can also be applied with Scabyst to give it up to 600 coating points, which keep the corrosion level static until they are depleted. Visit the Mechanics page for more details on corrosion.
- 1 Reed Rope + 1 Weedwood Stick + 3 Valonite Shards = 1 Sickle
- 1 Sickle + between 1 and 8 Scabyst = coats Betweenlands tool (shapeless, adds 75 points per piece added, pickaxe shown as example)
- Purify non-coated Sickle = clean Betweenlands tool (axe shown as example)
