Fire Flies are passive mobs that are intended to simply add more life and atmosphere into The Betweenlands. They spawn in all surface Betweenlands biomes.

Description

Fire Flies are small flying bugs. They can serve as a light source, since they give off orange tinted dynamic lighting. They periodically turn this light off and on as they fly slowly around.

If they manage to be caught, Fire Flies can be right-clicked with a Net to capture them as an inventory item. This item can then be right-clicked on the ground to release the Fire Fly as an entity there.

Fire Flies can be killed in one hit using a rare loot weapon, the Critter Cruncher.
